THE NØØMUSEUM
The NøøMuseum is an immersive and interactive digital artwork developed by Yann Minh for more than 15 years. This is a science fiction dematerialized museum devoted to the prehistory of cyberculture,which is extending its network of hypermedia connected galleries in different sectors of cyberspace. The first Nøø-Galeries were builded in 2004 with the computer game Unreal Tournament, as a multiplayer level map.
Since this first version, the Nøø-Galeries network developed into the persistent worlds of the open-Sims and of Second Life, and also as stand alone applications, on the the web, and now as an immersive version for Oculus Rift, Google "Cardboards", and other immersive VR devices.
Functional protoype of a video game application dedicated to educational purposes (serious games) and of virtual museography, the Nøømuseum is one of the first immersive 3D real-time teaching tool, online since 2004)
The Nøømuseum benefited of the BOURSE PIERRE SCHAEFFER award of the la Scam in 2009 for the creation and digital experimentation. (Lauréats SCAM)
The NøøMuseum was also the main project of an artistic residency at the SAT in Montreal in 2013. An exchange program Québec/France, CALQ,Institut Français en collaboration avec La Gaité Lyrique, Le Cube, Oboro et la SAT
